A property guardian-occupied basement in Bloomsbury, central London. Early 2012.

The Lonely Coot is created, as a kind of pop-up press, to publish two books: Gardens, a photography book and essay, by Christina Theisen and Rebecca Omonira-Oyekanmi; and Daniel Kramb’s climate change novel From Here

Daniel goes on to publish two more books with the imprint, the poetry booklet Timid Takes and his strange story of a London rebellion, Central.

You can trace some of the Coot’s past swimmings here. Where she might be going next, only the Coot can know…
